SFDB v2.11 (20th May 2010)

Bug fixes:
-Approve and Unapprove now works again.
-Image upload now works again.
-Newly uploaded images have the correct id once again. This cause the wrong image to appear.
-Thumbnail generation has been fixed.
-Thumbnails are no longer regenerated on every view (!)
-Some entries featuring links in the info box were crashing out
-Removed YUI tooltip code. And YUI.

New stuff:
-New search engine friendly URLs
-Rounded corners on front page boxes

Changes:
-More thorough and reliable links appearing after submitting an entry.
-Recycling system is now more thorough about storing old versions of entries. This will be expanded in future into a proper rollback system.
-More descriptive text for each entry type on the browse page.
-New tooltip code, so you'll definitely be seeing helpful hints for infobox fields on all browsers (all /good/ browsers).
-New-look infobox.
-New "no image" image to replace the horrible old one that dates back to the first stages of work on the site.

Fixes:
-Minor layout issues with Firefox and IE7 have been resolved. IE6 is no longer supported.
-User account editing functionality has been repaired after being broken by v2.0.
-Search results will now open a new window for each result clicked.
-Security updates.

Changes for SFDB v2.0
---------------------

-Faster MySQL database.
-Drop-down menu navigation.
-Page width increased to 1024px (968).
-Infobox implemented for non-body information.
-Fields other than 'name', 'description', and a few others, collapsed into Infobox.
-New URL: www.sfdb.org.uk
-Welcome page no longer necessary.
-Browser page title now changes according to the page. Search engines like pages that have appropriate titles, rather than the whole site having one page title for everything.
-Input form now mirrors the layout of the entry when it is being viewed, with infobox stuff on the right, and main body description on the left.
-New image selection allows proper image preview, browse and search.
-New front page, with more emphasis on the "Random Entry".
-To be featured as a random entry, an entry must now have a description of at least 500 characters and have a picture set.
-New image browsing page.
-New image upload area, with space for keywords, description and image name.
-Moderators 'Erase' button now has a JavaScript 'confirm' dialogue box.
-Duplicate entry names are no longer permitted, to enable future URL optimisation. A policy outline will be produced to guide moderators in how to deal with duplicate entry names (eg. 'Babylon 5' for the universe, TV series and station)
-'Everything' can now be browsed, enabling the SFDB to be viewed as a flat-file encyclopaedia-style.
