ARM (Amalgamated Regional Militia)

The military branch of the United Nations, the ARM's jurisdiction was originally limited to Earth and the Moon. This is no longer the case.

The ARM is renowned for its mysterious 'black projects', as well as possessing numerous technologies which, supposedly, might mean devastating consequences if unleashed. Note however that no one knows with any certainty (or at least, it is never mentioned in any of Larry Niven's works) just what the ARM has or what it is capable of. The implication is nevertheless that it possesses some terrifying capabilities.
