EAS Agamemnon

(Subject to change, etc. etc.)The EAS Agamemnon was a ship of the new Omega class Destroyer, constructed after the horrible Earth-Minbari War, where humanity went to the very brink of extinction and was saved at the last moment.

The Agamemnon's registry number was OCG-5, making it one of the first Omega class Destroyers built. It housed considerable firepower, threatening almost any ship of the younger races, as well as several squadrons of Starfury fightercraft. The Agamemnon was captained by Captain John Sheridan but he was relieved by one Captain James when John Sheridan was reassigned to the Babylon 5 space station.

When Proxima 3, Mars and Babylon 5 broke away from the Earth Alliance because of President Clark's illegal orders to bomb civilian targets, the Agamemnon tried to join up with its old captain, always being one step behind. However, when Sheridan liberated Proxima 3 the Agamemnon finally caught up with Sheridan, who was all too happy to accept them and recaptain his old destroyer.

During the Battle for Earth the Agamemnon was hit by several missiles fired from the Aegis Defence Grid, knocking its weapons offline. Sheridan ordered the Agamemnon to ram the last platform; he and the ship were saved at the last second by the EAS Apollo, a ship that had tried to destroy them in Mars orbit only several hours before.

The Agamemnon continues to serve Earthforce, and with its distinguished history, it is one of the most famous ships in the Earth Alliance.
