Akkan

Akkan was a corrupt Trigan officer who was governer of the colony of Zabriz. While Trigan justice and code of laws are meant to be universal throughout the empire, the far flung colony of Zabriz, due to its distance from Trigan City was being mismanaged. Far from being the ideal representative of Trigan City, and of Emperor Trigo, Akkan was cruel, slovenly and brutish.

Janno, Trigo's nephew was sent to sort the problems out with full authority from the Emperor. His first meeting with Akkan was not a good one. Akkan operated through fear and regarded himself as the 'Master of Life and Death' in Zabriz. When Janno declared the men of Zabriz as free men of the Empire, rather than the slaves that Akkan commanded, he formented a riot that would bring the Zabriz natives back under his control, while passing the blame onto Janno.

Unknown to him, Trigo had infiltrated the fortress to check out the situation for himself and he tried to free Janno and Keren from imprisonment. Akkan however caught the three of them and was about to execute the trio when a plea from Trigo caused the watching slaves to revolt. Akkan fled the scene and while trying to kill the Emperor fell over the edge of a cliff.
