General Aleksandr Kerensky
General Aleksandr Kerensky, born in 2700 was the CIC of the
Star League Defence Force after First Lord Cameron was deposed and killed by Stefan Amaris. For many years he fought the forces of Amaris the Usurper, hoping to bring the ruinous war to an end.
When Amaris's forces were finally defeated Kerensky found that the Lords of each of the Successor states wished to place themselves on the throne of the Star League and he was stripped of his title of Protector and ordered to surrender himself and his forces.
Instead he decided to take the majority of the SLDF fleet beyond the
Inner Sphere to found a new society, disgusted with the way the Inner Sphere had went. Kerensky's plan, named The Exodus took place in 2784, however everything was not plain sailing as there was a mutiny along the way by nine ships led by the Texas Class battleship Prinz Eugen. Kerensky ordered that the mutineers surrender, when they refused he took quick, decisive and ruthless action, sending in boarding parties and having any officer above the rank of captain summarily executed. The effect on morale was immediate but it was the foundation of General Order 137 that is on every
Clan ship establishing the need for discipline and a firm belief in the Chain of Command.
When Kerensky settled the Pentagon worlds in 2786. They were not ideal with three being hostile to life and the other two barely habitable. Afterwards, kerensky ordered a demobilisation to try and balance out the population in terms of trades. Too many people were warriors, there were not enough technicians or merchants.
Eventually civil war broke out in the Pentagon worlds, 15 years after planetfall, partly due to discontent with some of the civilian population, traditionally from rival realms living alongside each other. This stress, added to the loss of his closest friend, led to the aged General suffering from a massive heart attack.
