Alia Atreides

The daughter of Lady Jessica Atreides and Duke Leto Atreides, Alia was conceived unknown to Leto, and he died in the Harkonnen attack before Jessica could reveal her parentage.

Jessica's pregnancy with Alia was proceeding quite normally until Jessica had to take the Water of Life. The Water of Life brought about the premature birth of Alia and boosted her abilities. She was born with the full knowledge of a Bene Gesserit Reverend Mother.

Her mental powers were formidable. In later years she would control the religious masses on the planet Arrakis, but would also being increasingly paranoid, being brought under the control of a physic 'phantom' of the late Baron Harkonnen.
