Alliance of Democratic Nations

In Command and Conquer: Red Alert, the Alliance of Democratic Nations is a NATO-like alliance founded to counter the threat of the USSR. Because of a time travel incident that lead to Hitlers death, Nazi Germany never emerges as a dominant world power. Subsequently, the USSR became the biggest threat to the Western powers and all the democratic nations of Europe, including Germany and Italy, merge to become the Alliance of Democratic Nations.

During the Second Great World War, the Alliance officially declared war on the USSR after the Soviets invade Europe and subsequently defeats the USSR. The Alliance is eventually dissolved in the 1990's and replaced by the GDI.

Red Alert 2
By the time of Red Alert 2, America and Korea had joined the Alliance. The USSR begins another attack on the Alliance, including America, which led to another defeat of the Soviets at the hands of the Alliance of Democratic Nations.
