Battlestar

Battlestars are vessels that are over a mile long and perform the role of both Fighter Carrier and Battleship.

All vessels of this class appear similiar and carry a large complement of fighters in their outboard pods. The standard loudout appears to be two squadrons, the evidence for this is that the Galactia initially has Blue and Red Squadrons, although she later takes on the Pegasus's surviving Silver Spar squadron fighters.

Throughout the series there are a number of Battlestars named:
-Galactica
-Columbia (destroyed at the Battle of Cimtar)
-Atlantia (President Adar's flagship)
-Pegasus (thought lost)
-Pacifica
-Triton
-Acropolis
-Rycon (Mentioned in the episode 'Take the Celestra')
