Battlestar (2004)

The Battlestar was the pride of the Colonial Fleet with 120 in operation at the time of the Cylon attack. However, heavy use of computerised systems led to these vessels being susceptible to Cylon Jamming technology which disabled onboard ships systems, including defence batteries, jump engines and sensors.

Most of the Colonial Fleet was destroyed rapidly due to the use of this technology. It was only luck that the Galactica, an earlier class of Battlestar was not dependant on networking technology, and Commander Adama's refusal to allow the upgrading of the Galactica with such technology that any warships survived.
