Battlestar Galactica (Miniseries)

The pilot which lead into new series. A reimaging of the 1979 series where the Cylons treacherously attack the Twelve Colonies of man.

The Cylons were created by man to do their bidding but rebelled. When they were fought to a standstill, hostilities eventually ceased and a decades long period of isolation began.

Many years later, as the aged Battlestar Galactica, a veteran of the first Cylon war prepares to decommision, and Commander Adama is due to retire, the Cylons launch a subtle but effective attack involving the use of jamming technology rendering the colonial fleet all but ineffective. With full knowledge of the Colonial Defence grid, a large scale nuclear attack is launched on the Colony worlds.

When the few surviving civilians are evacuated, there are fears among the command staff that a traitor could reveal their position, while the fleet has to resupply.
