Battlestar Pegasus

The Battlestar Pegasus was a well known Colonial Battlestar which apparently disappeared, thought destroyed along with the Fifth Fleet at the Battle of Molocay some two yahrens before the disastrous battle at Cimtar where the Colonial Fleet was all but destroyed.

The Pegasus was under the command of Commander Cain and still had a fairly full complement of Vipers in the form of Silver Spar Squadron.

The Pegasus had managed to survive the battle of Molocay and had run hit and fade raids on the Cylons, grabbing supplies and generally making life difficult for them. One reason that the Pegasus seemed to survive for so long was Baltar's and the Imperious Leaders fixation on destroying the Galactica and her fleet of civilian vessels.

The Pegasus seems outwardly the same as the Galactica except that it uses some sort of missile system. Whether the Galactica has these and Adama chooses not to use them is unknown.

The Pegasus was last seen attacking three Cylon Basestars and then it disappeared, perhaps destroyed, perhaps it jumped to light speed.
