JMC Blue Midget

Blue Midget is a small multipurpose transport vessel used for carrying personnel and cargo. It has tracks to enable it to navigate the rough terrain on some planetary surfaces.

A later version used in Series 8 had retractable legs. The Blue Midget is not used as much as Starbug and later seems to fall into disuse. It also is suggested that it is a shorter range vessel. Obviously, visual evidence onscreen shows that it is considerably smaller and therefore less suited for a long range journey.
