Brainsucker

These small brown creatures appeared during the alien incursions on Mega-Primus at 2080's, and were used by the aliens as a dangerous weapon. A small brainsucker pod was fired from a special alien rifle. Upon landing close to a human, the pod hatched, and the Brainsucker emerged. The Brainsucker would run and leap at the first human he sees, clutching his head and injecting a dose of Micronoids into his bloodstream, after which it immediately dies.

As a result, the human comes under complete alien control. The alien Micronoid organisms not only gain complete control of its body, but also full acess to the victim's memory and mental capacity, allowing the controlled human to use weapons, tools, and possibly even deception against his former allies.

There is no known way to restore a human's mind once it is controlled by the Micronoids. Since Micronoids are non-responsive to psionics, telepathy and mind-control are useless against infected victims.

The Brainsuckers was artificially created specifically to combat Homo Sapiens in the aforementioned way.
