Cheyenne Dropship
The Cheyenne-class dropship is carried on
USCMC vessels and is used for the rapid insertion and extraction of USCMC forces into a hostile environment. Two dropships are typically carried on board USCMC vessels.
They are operated by a flight crew of two. One is the pilot and the second is presumably the navigator/weapons officer. Dropships can also be flown remotely by a qualified operator using a satellite uplink, or the transmitter in a Colonial Marines
APC.
The Cheyenne is heavily armed - especially for a transport - carrying 32 general-use rockets as well as 8-12 anti-armor missiles. An autocannon can also be deployed for covering fire.
Each dropship is capable of carrying a USCMC APC, meaning that troops can be inserted in a protected vehicle.
