Colonel Christopher Blair

Christopher Blair, callsign 'Maverick' was the ace pilot who first achieved prominence when flying off the Bengal class carrier, the TCS Tiger's Claw. When the Tiger's Claw was destroyed, he was accused of negligence and cowardice by Admiral Geoffrey Tolwyn and was transferred to Insystem Security at Caernarvon sector. Fate later got him assigned to the TCS Concordia where he met Jeanette 'Angel' Deaveraux, a former crew member of the Tigers Claw, now Wing Commander of the squadrons on board the Concordia.

While recovering from injuries sustained from the attack on Earth by the Kilrathi, the Concordia was destroyed and Blair was transferred to the TCS Victory, an old Ranger Class Light Carrier in 2669.

The Confederation was losing the war on all fronts by now, unable to cope with the overwhelming Kilrathi fleets which outnumbered the terrrans 2 to 1.
In the course of the last weeks of the war, Blair was involved into a few secret projects like the Behemoth, a planetbuster, which was destroyed through a traiter revealing it's weak points, and the Temblor bomb project, which succeeded, with Christopher Blair dropping the bomb onto the Kilrathi homeworld and destroying it along with the Imperial fleet orbiting the planet.

After the war, Colonel Blair was transferred to the Inactive Reserve and settled on the remote world of Nephele IV in the Borderworlds between Confed and Kilrathi territory, living a quiet life as farmer.

However, in 2673, he was called back into active service due to the rising tensions between the Union of the Borderworlds (UBW) and the Confederation and was transferred to the Fleet carrier TCS Lexington. During his time on that ship he discovered that the Confederation was forcing the Borderworlds into the conflict, and defected to the Borderworlds ship BWS Intrepid along with the captain of the Lexington and a few of his comrades. Fighting now for UBW, they uncovered the reasons of the conflict, namely Admiral Tolwyn, who tried to force humanity into a civil war and trying to eliminate part of the humans who he considered 'weak' with bioweapons since he though the only way to survive for humanity is the survival of the strongest.

Finally, after having gathered enough information about Tolwyns evil schemes, he confronts him in the confederate senate, revealing his plans to the public and preventing a declaration of war against the Borderworlds.

Later, Colonel Blair was promoted to Commodore and oversaw the Megacarrier project, which aimed to replace the aging wartime fleet carriers with newer and more efficient designs. Being stationed on the first carrier of that class, the TCS Midway, he faced a new alien menace, the Nephilim invasion. In the course of pushing the Nephilim back he is captured and tortured by the aliens, but Marines from the TCS Midway manage to free him.

After having located the portal which the Nephilim use to enter this area of space, Blair boarded it along with a few marines to disable it. They finally succeded in destroying the alien portal, but Commodore Blair is unable to escape and now assumed dead.
