Colonial Fleet (2004)

The Colonial Fleet at the time of the miniseries was a totally different form from what it later became. Originally the fleet was 120 Battlestars, most, if not all of which were wiped out during the surprise Cylon attack. The only known surviving Colonial Warship is the Battlestar Galactica, a relic of the original Cylon conflict. It survived in part due to being assigned to a different area because it was due to be decommisioned. Also, it did not have the intricate new fleet networking system that left the rest of the fleet susceptible to computer attack.

The second form of the fleet was the Galactica and those FTL capable civilian vessels that were able to escape Colonial space.
