Dark Angel

Dark Angel follows the story of Max Guevara, also formerly known as X5-452. Max is an escaped genetically engineered super soldier, and her and a number of her comrades escaped from Manticore, a covert operations facility seemingly headed up by Colonel Donald Lydecker who seems intent on tracking the runaways down.

When the series starts it is some years after the escape and Max is living in Seattle. The world she lives in is in decay, there are constant references to an event called 'The Pulse' which was the atmospheric detonation of a nuclear weapon which adversely affected all electrical equipment.
