Science Officer Diana

Diana is officially the commander of the Los Angeles Mothership, and along with John is one of the most visible of the Visitors when relations are still cordial. Her official rank is never mentioned, though as she is credited as having expertise in the Scientific Field it would be prudent to assume that Science Officer is her title.

Diana has a brilliant mind, but this is offset by her impatience, and her rashness. Despite her skills, these failings seem to make her susceptible to trickery and she often ends up on the losing side of the ploys of the resistance. This fact is brought to light most keenly by the exposure of Martin, one of her most trusted Lieutenants as a Fifth Columnist.

Diana is not above using any trick possible to gain position. She is known to be the lover of the Leader using her feminine wiles to gain a high position of responsibility. When that doesn't serve, more direct methods are used, for instance, her assasination of her superior Pamela to gain control of her military forces, and later on, her killing of John.

It was Diana who arranged the 'experiment' which resulted in the birth of Elizabeth, the Starchild, the parents of whom were Robin Maxwell, the captured daughter of a Scientist and Brian, a Visitor junior officer.
