Dragon

The Dragon class fighter is the standard Black Lance fighter. The Dragon is a large fighter, though not as large or bulky as something like the Thunderbolt class.

Heavily armed with twin Plasma guns and twinned Tachyon cannon, the Dragon also carries a secondary armament of two fission guns. The Dragon can carry a large amount of disposable ordnance with six hardpoints suitable for lighter munitions and four hardpoints for medium class munitions.

The Dragon is fast, heavily armoured and its shields are also very strong. Unlike many fighters it also has its own hyperspace jump engine, and carries an advanced development of the Kilrathi cloaking technology.

These vessels were used against Confederation and Border Worlds Union shipping, primarily transport vessels to forment war between the two powers. The one disadvantage they had was their numbers, if there had been more of them they would have been able to cause far more destruction. As it was, they were responsible for genocide on a number of worlds by deploying bio-chemical weapons.

They were also the primary user of the 'Flash-Pak' a specialised disc shaped weapon which basically caused the ship to explode from the inside out.
