Duodecaplyatomate

The most powerful chemical-based explosive ever invented, duodecaplyatomate, or duodec, is incredibly powerful. It was used to disable a Boskonian warship when the Britannia attempted to steal the secret of cosmic energy intake screens, and torpedoes filled with the stuff were often used even in the later battles. Unlike nuclear weapons the fact that it is a conventional weapon avoids many of the problems associated with nuclear weaponry, such as radiation. It is solid, being made of 324 atoms of heptavalent nitrogen combined in 12 linked molecules of 27 atoms each.
In 'Masters of the Vortex', it is also the only known explosive powerful enough to have any chance of destroying a loose atomic vortex - super-atomics presumably only adding to the problem.
