E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster

The E-Web is a squad level support weapon employed by the Galactic Empire.

It is a bulky weapon, assembled either as a defensive weapon in emplaced areas, or deployed as needed. The weapon consists of three primary components: the tripod mount, the weapon itself, and the generator from which the weapon draws its power.

The E-Web is a powerful weapon, but requires a lengthy setup time. Deployment in the 'cold' state, without its generator pre-activated, requires approximately fifteen minutes for positioning, calibration of the generator, and configuring of the targeting system. If the weapon is already primed, assembly takes only about five minutes.

Despite such drawbacks, the weapon is popular because it is effective: it produces powerful bolts and can sustain a relatively high rate of fire. The conventional E-Web has seen wide use, for example by snowtroopers in the attack on Echo Base on the planet Hoth. It can obviously cause significant damage, as Blizzard Squad's snowtroopers deployed one (most likely already primed) to use on the Millenium Falcon.

More recent variants have seen less use, though they offer improvements on performance: the E-Web(15) has a shorter setup time and superior firepower thanks to its more advanced generator and cryonics; the F-Web includes a small shield generator; and the M-Web includes small repulsorlifts to increase its mobility.
