Earthbound

Commisioner Simmonds is still agitating amongst the command staff that nothing has been done to plan a return to Earth.

The argument is interrupted by the approach of a mysterious alien spacecraft which crash lands on the surface of the moon. A Rescue Eagle is dispatched and a number of aliens are discovered in cryogenic chambers. One alien is killed when Dr Russell and her team attempt to revive him. This triggers the awakening of the others.

The alien in charge, Captain Zantor explains that they are the last survivors of a dying planet, their ship was programmed to seek out Earth, but the navigational computer that used the moon for a course fix was confused. He asks for help in repairing their craft and that there is now a free space to return to Earth.

Simmonds is determined by fair means or foul that he will return to Earth.
