Khan Elias Crichell

Elias Crichell was unusual among Clan Warriors in being a consumate politician. He preferred the Machiavellian way of operating and this viewpoint was not popular among some of the more traditional Jade Falcon warriors. Warriors like Joanna and Marthe Pryde who might have disdain for their enemies, the Wolves, still felt disgusted when politics, instead of direct action was used against them.

When Clan Wolf was censured, Khan Crichell was one of the loudest opponents of the Wolves along with his SaKhan, Vandervahn Chistu. When Clan Wolf was defeated it was absorbed into the Jade Falcons. This absorption was reversed when Vladimir Wolf, thought dead, appeared and challenged SaKhan Chistu to a Trial of Refusal citing the absorption as against Clan honour due to Chistu's treachorous use of a missile strike against then Ilkhan Ulric Kerensky. Senior Khan Crichell however tricked Vlad and despite saying the absorption was null and void formed a new clan named the Jade Wolves.

Elias Crichell had ambitions to become the new Ilkhan now that Ulric Kerensky was dead and he rashly attempted to sway Vladimir Wolf to his side. He promised him the Ward Bloodname that he desired and this seemed to convince him.

Crichell maneuvered his way to becoming Ilkhan but he was quickly challenged by Vladimir Ward to a Trial of Refusal. He attempted to nominate a second, but the new SaKhan, Marthe Pryde shamed him into fighting. Crichell was killed in combat by Vladimir Ward, having held the office of IlKhan for less than 12 hours.
