Doctor Elizabeth Renfro

Also known by the monicker Madame X, Renfro is a mysterious figure in the hierarchy of Manticore. It's obvious that she holds a higher position of authority than Lydecker.

She will not hesistate to sacrifice people to achieve a larger goal. Her ultimate goal is like Lydeckers, to acquire the runaway X-5 series.

She is heavily involved in Max's 'reprogamming' sessions when Max was captured by Manticore and saved by a heart transplant by the sacrifice of Zack, a fellow X-5.

She was responsible for the capture of Tinga, one of the runaway X-5's and held her in a bizarre holding cell, running a variety of strange experiments on her.

Renfro died after taking a bullet intended for Max, leaving Max with the cryptic message to 'Find the Sandman'.
