Executor-class Star Dreadnought

The Executor-class of star dreadnought is a massive vessel, some 16 km long. The ships maintain some 5000 heavy turbolasers alone, with additional medium turbolasers, ion cannons, and concussion-missile launchers. They carry at least two wings of fighters and at least 200 other support and combat craft. They also carry a number of Stormtroopers greater than the entire crew complement of an Imperator-class Star Destroyer (for 38,000 soldiers), as well as garrison bases and numerous walkers.

Executors are quite rare; some estimate that, given a total of 25,000 ISDs in the Imperial Navy and a roughly 5-to-1 ratio of Imperators to Executors, there would be only 5000 ESD's in the entirety of the Empire, making up only a tiny fraction of the many millions of combat vessels in the Imperial Navy. Regardless, they serve well as command ships and can be quite intimidating to enemy forces - a single ESD can engage entire fleets of smaller ships on its own.

The namesake of the class, HIMS Executor, was a special 17.5 km model used by Darth Vader as a personal flagship for the 'Death Squardon' force, which was tasked with weeding out the Rebel Alliance. It was destroyed during the Battle of Endor.
