F-108A Panther

The Panther is a modern Space Superiority fighter, yet it is essentially a second line vessel compared to larger fighters like the Vampire.

It's smaller size though means that it has tremendous acceleration, and some pilots actually prefer the Panther to its bigger brother.

The gun armament isn't the best though, consisting of only two Ion Cannons and two Tachyon guns. This is pretty weak, the provision for six Pilum and six Spiculum missiles doesn't really make up for tha shortcoming as many pilots prefer not to rely on disposable ordnance.
