F-86C Hellcat V

The Hellcat V is the baseline fighter used in the latter days of the Confed-Kilrathi war. The workhorse of the Terran Confederation carrier fleet, it is a capable fighter but has a 'jack of all trades, master of none' feel to it.

The ship is decently armed and armoured. Fixed weapons loadout is the same as the smaller Arrow class with two lasers and two Ion guns, disposable ordnance can be carried on six hardpoints capable of taking standard sized missiles.

The Hellcat is one of the most heavily used fighters in patrols and as bomber escorts.
