Fission Cannon

A unique weapon, the Fission Cannon looks much like any other energy weapon. It is different however in that the longer the pilot holds down the trigger, the more the weapon is charged. A higher charge results in more damage.

Some pilots think this could be useful against fighters and while it is technically possible, most fighters are too agile to hit.

Where this weapon comes into it's own however is against capital ships and large transports. The secondary function was ideal for the terror tactics of the Black Lance who developed this weapon. It's unknown whether Confed developed this unusual weapon further.
