After ten thousand years of history, the Galactic Empire of Mankind is beginning to crumble, but only a visionary scientists sees the signs of impending doom.

A group of scientists, allegedly sent to the remote world of Terminus to create an Encyclopedia Galactica containing the full knowledge of the human race, will become his unwitting pawns in a mysterious plan to save the human race and turn Terminus into one of the Foundations for rebuilding the Galactic Empire in a thousand years time.

In this book, we will follow the adventures and setbacks of these scientists and their descendants in the first two centuries of existence of the Foundation and behold the transformation of Terminus into the capitol of an interstellar trade empire and religious center.
