Free Republic of the Landreich

The Landreich is a loose union of worlds on the Confederation border. Once being attacked by the Kilrathi, the Confederation abandoned them out of 'strategic necessity', resulting in a mutiny on a confed warship, which was taken over by the individual Max Kruger. With their newfound firepower, the mutineers forced the Kilrathi out of terran space. This was followed by the world of Landreich declaring independence from the Confederation and Max Krugers election to president.
