G'Quan Class Heavy Cruiser

The G'Quan class cruiser was the backbone of the Narn fleet for a number of years replacing many older designs and supplementing the T'Loth class Assault Cruiser.

The G'Quan was the main ship of the line, capable of carrying twelve Frazi class heavy fighters as well as a formidable armament consisting of heavy lasers, pulse cannons and the Narns own innovative Energy mine launcher.

Unlike the Centauri and Minbari, the Narns did not possess artificial gravity, therefore they did fight at a slight disadvantage, though in one on one engagements the difference really was negligible at least until the pack hunting tactics of the Vorchan cruisers and more tellingly, the Shadow ships became involved en masse.

The sluggish G'Quans found it difficult to fight against the agile and smaller Vorchans where they had been almost equal against the older Primus. Against Shadow ships all their weapons seemed practically ineffective and the majority of the Narn fleet was wiped out at Raghesh 3.
