Fleet Captain Hugh Paulsen

Hugh Paulsen arrived on board the TCS Lexington with orders to relieve Captain Eisen. He also had some personnel with him, namely the genetically engineered pilot Seether.

Paulsen himself was a man with an inflated sense of his own importance. While he was part of the Black Lance group, it was obvious that Seether and Tolwyn held him in barely concealed contempt. Paulsen came off of money, and that was how he was able to have his rank of Fleet Captain. He had essentially bought his way in. Tolwyn normally would have nothing to do with social climbers like Paulsen, but the money he had was useful in part at least to the Black Lance project, as well as the fact that Paulsen had contacts in various useful companies.

When the TCS Lexington was disabled by pilots from the BWS Intrepid, Seether cut Paulsens throat.
