Diet: The Hydralisk is a highly altered form of the alien Slothien, which was a docile herbivore. The Zerg's twisted accelerated-evolution processes have converted them into vicious killers. Like other Zerg units, Hydralisks recieve their nutrients from the Creep.
Habitat: Hydralisks are capable of surviving in a wide range of habitats, from high-gravity worlds with noxious gases to the vacuum of space.

Hydralisk

Hydralisks are large Zerg warriors, among the most critical fielded by the Zerg Swarm. These erect beings, with features resembling those of a mix of snake, crab, and other creatures, possess the ability to fire some kind of organic, armor-piercing spine from their upper carapace. These spines, when delivered in volleys by a pack of Hydralisks, can rapidly damage and destroy even armored vehicles and low-flying starships. Their low cost, versatility, and modest durability make Hydralisks a vital support weapon for other Zerg units. They tend to be deployed in large numbers. Additionally, Hydralisks are among the largest Zerg units capable of burrowing.
