International Rescue

International Rescue is the name given to the high speed disaster response team founded by Ex-Astronaut Jeff Tracy. His five sons John, Virgil, Scott, Alan and Gordon each have their own parts to play in this organisation.

Scott Tracy pilots Thunderbird 1, the high speed response vehicle which is always sent in first to assess the situation
Virgil Tracy pilots Thunderbird 2, the organisations heavy lift transport
Alan Tracy is the primary pilot of Thunderbird 3, the teams spacecraft and rotates with John on assignment on Thunderbird 5
Gordon Tracy is the teams Aquanaut. He pilots Thunderbird 4
John Tracy is the main operator of Thunderbird 5, the teams secretive high powered communications receiver satellite which can filter out various signals, pinpointing potential disaster zones.

Brains is the technical engineer who also designed many of the Thunderbird craft and their components.

International Rescue is based in Tracy Island in the South Pacific, and the organisations craft are kept in total secrecy in underground hangers, each launching in their own ingenious way. A high powered radar system also warns the islands inhabitants of any potential snoopers. International Rescue also have a contact in England, Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward, the daughter of an English Aristocrat. She seems to foster the image of a wealthy socialite but is in fact an invaluable member of the team. Kyrano is Jeff Tracy's manservant and close friend, and him and his daughter Tin Tin live on Tracy Island. Tin Tin later joins the team and helps with maintainence.
