BWS Intrepid

The BWS Intrepid was a Durango class carrier in service with the Union of Border Worlds. She came under heavy attack from cruisers and destroyers and suffered heavy damage. Fighters from the TCS Lexington were sent to finish her off, but this plan came to nothing when Christopher 'Maverick' Blair defected to the Border Worlds Union and landed on the Intrepids flight deck.

Allegedly converted from an old Cruiser hull, the Border Worlders seem to have christened this makeshift vessel the Durango Class. The Intrepid operated under extremely taxing conditions during the times of tension with Confed. Her bridge and much of her accomodation deck had been gutted by Confed fire resulting in the loss of the command crew and her C&C abilities.

Her fighter wing capability was small, and the ship itself is lightly armed, but Intrepid had an advantage in as she could use small jump points that larger vessels like the TCS Vesuvius could not.
