Senator James Taggart

James Taggart had a long military career in the Terran Confederation before becoming a Senator and Assembly Master.

He served in many of the major conflicts of the Terran-Kilrathi war. Having served on the TCS Tigers Claw until the mandatory retirement age for front line fighter pilots, Paladin as he was known was recruited into the Special Ops division of Confed.

There he used the TCS Bonnie Heather, a high technology modified Free Trader transport. Paladin also speaks fluent Kilrathi which aided him along with his Kilrathi face overlay technology when he rescued the Firekkan hostages from the Kilrathi during the Sivar ritual.

Paladin was also the mastermind behind the Temblor bomb project, him being leery of Admiral Tolwyn's Behemoth project.

It was also Paladin who proposed, along with Christopher Blair, the Megacarrier project that would be designed to replace the Kilrathi war era fleet carriers.
