Supreme Commander John

Supreme Commander of the Visitor fleet in the first offensive against Earth. John was the visitor who met the UN Secretary General on the roof of the UN building in New York and sent an impassioned plea to the people of Earth. Obviously meant to be a charismatic, yet at the same time almost mundane figure, John appears to have been more of a diplomat, not showing any particular military prowess. He certainly never seemed to carry a sidearm, even on the mothership when the threat from the Fifth Column was recognised.

He was assasinated by Diana when he sneered at her plan to turn Earth into a desolate wasteland. He didn't want to initiate the self-destruct, perhaps hinting that although he might have had a certain ruthlessness in regards to his mission, he didn't have the sadistic streak of Diana.
