Keldon

The Keldon-class warship is a heavy cruiser, constructed by the Cardassian Union in the begin 2370's. The Keldon was a heavy modification of the already existing Galor, but has far greater firepower.

Ten of these ships were constructed in secret by the Obsidian Order in the Orias System in 2371. With the help of Romulan assistance, the Keldon-class warships were outfitted with a cloaking device, enchanced warp speeds and powerful weaponry.

Along with the Romulan Tal Shiar, the Obsidian Order undertook an pre-emptive atack on the Founder's Homeworld in the Omarion Nebula with the ten Keldons. All Keldons were lost during the atack when they were overwhelmed by a Dominion fleet of a hundred-and-fifty ships.

Later during the Dominion War, the Keldon-class warships served with great result, but were in too few numbers to turn the tide.
