Klud

Klud was the third of the trio that ruled the Vorg Tribe that founded the Trigan Empire. He was ever jealous of his brothers Trigo and Brag who were quite popular with their subjects.

When Trigo started to found his Empire, the tribal elders said that only one could rule in the future. Brag, being a modest and simple man laid aside his claim, but Klud said that he would not so easily give up. Trigo decided that the people of Vorg, who by this time were joined by refugees from Tharv, would decide.

When Klud observed that he was not to be made leader, he became furious and attempted to kill Trigo while he slept in his tent. Caught by Trigo's Zolt manservant, Klud was put on trial. Vorg justice meant that Trigo could face his would be assailant fully armoured and mounted while Klud had to use the weapon he tried to kill his brother with, a small knife.

Trigo, not wanting to appear unfair discarded most of his weaponry and engaged in a hand to hand battle with Klud. He appeared to win, but Trigo sucumbed to the poison that was in Kluds blade.

Klud escaped and made his way to King Zorth, where he promised to deliver the land of Vorg to him with just 5 atmosphere craft and 100 troopers. Unfortunately, Klud was overconfident, and landed his craft to what he thought were Lokan troopers, but were in fact Vorg tribesmen in disguise. Klud was caught in the blast from a Lokan atmosphere crafts heat gun and killed instantly.
