Leech Gun

A development of Confed's Leech missile technology. The Leech gun might not have the same power per burst as a missile, but it is a useful technology.

Leech missiles are invaluable in capturing enemy ships intact, and since Leech missiles are next to impossible to come by, even on the black market, the Union of Borderworlds developed their own version. Obviously, they will have had some small stock of missiles to work off, but the Leech Gun could be in some cases, considered superior to the missiles. It leaves missile racks free for other types of disposable ordnance, and the Leech gun is effectively unlimited in its use.
