Macrobeam

Macrobeams were, until the invention of the Primary Beam, the primary weapon system on any self-respecting warship. Firing concentrated ultrawaves beams at the enemy over enormous distances, they were much faster than light and also had decent recharge times, in addition to being able to fire more or less continuously until the power supply gave out.
