Matter of Life and Death

Moonbase Alpha approaches a new planet. When a scouting expedition runs into trouble, Alpha is forced to return the reconnaisance Eagle by remote control. The pilot and co-pilot are found stunned and inside the passenger module is a new passenger.

He appears to be Lee Russell, Helena's husband, long thought dead, who disappeared on a space mission some years before. He repeatedly warns the Alphans not to venture on the planet, which they have dubbed Terra Nova.

His warnings go unheeded, and Lee Russell apparently dies, his body disappearing from the autopsy room.
