Melconian Empire

Based on the planet Melcon, the Melconian Empire is just as vast if not larger than the Terran Concordiat. Both sides entered into a protracted cold war until 3343, at the Trellis system, both sides engaged in a massive naval engagement, with both sides accusing the other of attacking first, thus kicking of the so called Final War as neither side survived intact. The war lasted 98 years and saw both Earth and Melcon annihilated. While Earth eventually recovered, the current status of Melcon is unknown. It is known that a number of Melconian enclaves were established in the years after the war. The colony on Ararat(formerly the Melconian planet Ishark) is formed of not only Melconians but human refugees as well. Both sides eventually learned to co-habitate and went on to forming the Ararat Star Union.
