Alyt Neroon

Alyt Neroon, a member of the Star Rider Clan is also one of the Warrior Caste and at first appearance has an intense dislike of humans. He first appears at Babylon 5 in mid 2258 when the body of Bramner, the deceased Minbari Warleader is being paraded around the galaxy.

When Delenn is ejected from the Grey Council, it is Neroon who takes her place, and he does not bother to hide his distrust of her, both in general, and her motivations. He feels the religious caste has no real business deciding overall policy and is bitter that they are more or less responsible for ending the Earth-Minbari war.

Neroon also later visits Babylon 5, in 2260, opposing Delenn's elevation to the rank of Entil'Zha, leader of the Rangers. Neroon feels that if there is a war coming with the Shadows that the Warrior Caste should lead. He is opposed by Marcus Cole and after a hard fought duel, leaves with a grudging respect for humans.

The Minbari Civil war sees Neroon and Delenn meet, though both seem to be foes, each do understand that the other is doing only what they feel is best for their people and they decide that the civil war must be brought to an end.

Neroon seemingly betrays Delenn, meeting with Shai Alyt Shakiri, his Warleader and forces the surrender of the Religious Caste.

Delenn calls on a rite of endurance, the Starfire wheel which was used in ancient times. When Shakiri disgraces himself, Neroon sacrifices himself to save Delenn, proclaiming at the last that he was born Warrior Caste, but he now hears the calling of his heart which is Religious Caste.

Neroon was a cunning tactician, a consummate politician, but above all a strong, cunning warrior. He could be regarded as stubborn, but was at the same time pragmatic and had a strong sense of personal honour.
