New Space:1999 DVD's released

There has been a new release of Space:1999 DVD's.

Prior to this release, Carlton DVD had released what could be defined as the definitive release with six DVD's to each season, backup from the Fanderson fan society and generally good presentation in the Region 2 and 4 markets. The USA had had more episodes per disc, but less extras.

Now a new 7 disc set has been announced, with the seventh disc dedicated to extra material. In addition the picture and sound has been remastered yet again, this time appearing for the first time in Dolby Digital 5:1.

The Network DVD's are only available in Region 2 format. Also, in late 2007 the second season is to be released. As of yet, it is unknown whether the 'Message From Moonbase Alpha' film will be included.
