Owen Krysler-The Judge Child

Owen Krysler, also known as the Judge Child, was regarded as the only hope for survival of Mega City one by the dying Judge Feyy, the city's eldest pre-cog Judge.

Feyy was a member of the Psi Division of the Judges and predicted that a great catastophe would befall Mega-City One and that the 'child with the eagle mark' should be sought out as only he could prevent this from happening. The Eagle Mark is obviously the mark on Kryslers head, perhaps a birthmark of some sort, though this is never made clear.

Initially the mission was to go out to the Cursed Earth and retrieve Krysler, but he had been kidnapped from his community by the Angel Gang, and eventually Dredd and his team had to pursue them off-planet.

When Dredd eventually found Krysler on the planet of Xanadu, he could sense that Krysler had a sadistic evil streak about him and that he would be unsuitable to lead Mega City One. He left him in the care of the Grunwalder, the ruler of a robot fiefdom on Xanadu.

Krysler would later use his immense Psi powers and his intellect to ressurect Mean Machine Angel, and influence Fink Angel who had been imprisoned in Mega City One's Iso Blocks, to seek out and kill Judge Dredd. Fortunately, Dredd with the help of Judge Anderson managed to thwart his schemes and a Justice Department ship was dispatched to Xanadu, with a robotic crew that Krysler could not manipulate, to kill Krysler.

Not wanting any reprisals on himself, the Grunwalder ejected Krysler from his palace, and missiles from the ship killed Krysler.
