Peacekeepers

The Peacekeepers are the Sebeacean military arm. Originally created many cycles ago as a mercenary force which was hired to keep the peace (hence the name), the Peacekeepers have evolved into a strict authoritarion regime.

Peacekeepers come from three main backgrounds. There are the occasional volunteers who join up. The second are those who are conscripted from Sebecean colonies. This was how Bailar Crais joined the Peacekeepers. The last and perhaps now most numerous are those born in space, usually on the huge Command Carriers which make up the core of a Sebecean battlegroup.

On the Command Carriers there are no families, instead births are started by virtue of genetic selection. Extended relationships are forbidden, though short term, no strings attached relationships are allowed, indeed almost encouraged to release tension.
