Predators
A bipedal, vaguely humaniform species about 200-220 cm and massing 150-180 kg. Most notable departure form human norm is the mouth with its four prominent mandibles. Greenish blood suggests copper binding protein in the blood, although the blood is also phosphorescent.
Little is known of this enigmatic species as the only encounters with them have been with individuals on the hunt. A Predator, or
Yautja, will drop into a dangerous combat zone and select a target. Prey selection seems to based on observation and evaluation of it's combativeness and aggression levels.
The Predator then stalks its prey, goading it into a one-on-one confrontation. Often the predator will selectively kill the prey's allies in order to goad it into a more dangerous mood.
Exactly why they do this is a mystery. It may be that they are juveniles facing some rite of passage; perhaps some are the equivalent of humans going hunting for the weekend. Some hunting traditions appear to exist, but a Predator certainly comes loaded for bear as it were.
