Doctor Radek Zelenka

Dr Radek Zelenka is a Czech scientist who is part of the Atlantis Expedition, and expert on Ancient technology, only second to Rodney McKay.

Dr Zelenka was the one who, when Sheppard's Puddle Jumper got stuck in a Stargate's event horizon, worked on another Puddle Jumper to discover what crystal power couplings needed to be modified to retract the Puddle Jumper's engine pod. Later, Zelenka worked with McKay on the idea of protecting Atlantis against the superstorm. And when they both were investigating the storm damage, they played Prime/Not Prime with Lt Ford. During that time it was revealed that Dr Zelenka did not have a natural ATA Gene, nor did the gene therapy work on him.

Zelenka had by accident, discovered Atlantis's deep space sensors, and that three Wraith Hive ships were on their way towards Atlantis. During the preparation for evacuation, Zelenka created a computer virus that would wipe the entire Ancient database, should Atlantis fall to the Wraith. He also aided McKay in preparing the nuclear devices that the Genii had given.
