Rogue Trooper
Set on the planet of Nu-Earth, Rogue Trooper is the story of Rogue, a G.I (Genetic Infantryman) on a mission to avenge his dead comrades. The planet of Nu-Earth is a paradise turned toxic by the weapons of war. The majority of the air is poisonous to human who must wear chem suits and breathing gear to survive. Only at the Scum Seas are masks not necessary due to the sea vapours dispersing the toxin, and even there if you fall into the waters you are dead.The two sides in this conflict are the Nordland Alliance more commonly known as Norts, and the Southers. The Southers are the 'good guys', and while they seem to be slightly better trained the Norts often have better and more equipment and men.
To turn the tide of the war, the Souther High Command, Milli-Com, created the Genetic Infantrymen, a blue skinned humanoid who could fight on the battlefields of Nu-Earth without a suit. They were not harmed by the poisonous gas and were immune to all known Nu-Earth toxins. In addition their equipment, the Backpack, GI Rifle and Helmet were equipped with slots for bio-chips. In the event of a GI being killed, this chip could be extracted from the GI's head and if done quick enough, implanted into a piece of equipment. This could assist the still living GI and preserved the genetic matrix of the dead GI till a new body could be cloned.
However, the GI's are betrayed, and their first combat drop into the Quartz Zone is a massacre. All the GI's bar one are killed. Rogue is that survivor, and with the chips of his dead comrades, Helm, Gunnar and Bagman, he finds out that there is a traitor in the Souther High Command and attempts to track him down.
